Youth safety
Every athlete under 18 is supervised
- Ages 13–17: a youth athlete signs up with a first name only, and their account stays locked until a parent or legal guardian approves it. No posting, uploads or messaging before approval.
- Under 13: no child accounts. A parent or guardian creates and fully runs the athlete profile from their own account.
- Parents and guardians verify their identity before a youth account they supervise can be used, and record consent for each athlete.
What the public sees
- Youth profiles are private by default. The guardian decides what shows — at most a limited preview: first name and last initial, sport, age division, weight class and chosen achievements.
- Never shown for youth athletes: exact birthday, home address, school, phone number, personal email, social media, live location, training or travel schedule, or medical information.
- Youth profiles are kept out of search engines and link previews.
Contact is guardian-approved
- Nobody can privately message a youth athlete. Coaches, managers, promoters and sponsors send an introduction request, which goes to the guardian.
- If the guardian approves, a shared conversation opens with the guardian always included. Contact details and outside links are blocked in those conversations.
- Comments by or about youth athletes are held for guardian approval.
Reporting
- Every profile, post and conversation has Report and Block buttons. Reports involving a youth athlete go to a priority review queue.
- There are no ads, sponsorship offers or payment features shown to youth athletes — opportunity discussions go only to the guardian.
